Rasam Rice or One Pot Rasam Rice
Recipe (English and Marathi)
To prepare Rasam Rice:
1. Soak rice, tur dal, and chana dal for 30 minutes.
2. Mix tamarind and jaggery in water and set aside for 30 minutes.
3. Make a paste by crushing garlic, ginger, and red chili.
4. Chop onions and tomatoes.
In a cooker:
1. Heat oil and temper with cumin, mustard seeds, asafoetida, and red chilies.
2. Add onions, tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric, salt, and sambar masala. Sauté well.
3. Add the soaked rice and lentils, pour tamarind water, and mix.
4. Pressure cook for 30 minutes.
Garnish with coriander and serve with papad
रसम भात तयार करण्यासाठी:
1. तांदूळ, तूरडाळ आणि चणाडाळ ३० मिनिटे भिजत ठेवा.
2. चिंच आणि गूळ पाण्यात मिसळून ३० मिनिटे भिजत ठेवा.
3. लसूण, आले आणि लाल मिरची ठेचून पेस्ट तयार करा.
4. कांदा आणि टोमॅटो चिरा.
कुकरमध्ये:
1. तेल गरम करून त्यात जिरे, मोहरी, हिंग आणि लाल मिरच्या तडतडवा.
2. कांदा, टोमॅटो, लाल तिखट, हळद, मीठ आणि सांबार मसाला घालून परता.
3. भिजवलेले तांदूळ आणि डाळ घाला, त्यावर चिंच पाणी ओता आणि नीट मिसळा.
4. झाकण लावून ३० मिनिटे शिजवा.
कोथिंबिरीने सजवून पापडासोबत गरमागरम सर्व्ह करा.
