Ingredients:
• 1 cup gram flour (besan)
• 1 cup fresh fenugreek leaves (methi), finely chopped
• 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
• 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
• 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
• A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
• Salt to taste
• Water, as needed
• Oil for greasing
Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the gram flour, chopped methi leaves, green chilies, onion, garlic, cumin seeds, turmeric, asafoetida, and salt. Mix well.
2. Add water gradually to the mixture to form a thick batter. The batter should be thick enough to hold its shape when you drop it into the oil.
3. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
4. Take small portions of the batter and shape them into flat, round vadas.
5. Place it in a air-fryer basket.
6. Let it cook 15-20 minutes
7. Serve the gram flour Methi Vadas hot with green chutney or tamarind chutney.
